Maria Rushworth is Kenworthy’s Chambers Practice Manager. She is responsible for overseeing operational and strategic plans. Her role encompasses staff management, business development and the administration of chambers.

As Practice Manager, Maria Rushworth leads efforts on retaining the Legal Services Commission’s Quality Mark for the Bar and preserving Kenworthy’s Chambers’ reputation as diversity champions.

Her role focuses on client care and compliance, to maintain high quality standards of running the business. She collaborates closely with the Clerks to protect the confidentiality of clients’ affairs and deliver outstanding client care.

She has a deep knowledge of all the member Barristers and their Practice Areas at Kenworthy’s Chambers. Practice Manager Maria Rushworth works hard to ensure our members are fully compliant with the code of conduct regulations as directed by the Bar Standards Board.

She conducts annual reviews to continuously improve the provision of legal advice and advocacy across the practice.

Maria Rushworth sees Recruitment as key to the continued success of Kenworthy’s Chambers and plays a key role in practice development. As one of the first female Clerks in Manchester, she is proud to sit on recruitment panels for Pupillage and Clerks and welcomes applications from experienced Barristers.
