Sally Penni has practiced Criminal and Employment Law since 2000, joining Kenworthy's Chambers in 2004. She speaks French, basic Spanish and is trained in sign language.

Criminal Law

Sally Penni practices Criminal Law, she accepts instructions on behalf of both the defence and prosecution and her extensive practice includes regulatory crime, fraud, cyber security and data breaches.

She has advised organisations on breaches of the Data Protection Act and has prosecuted for the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). She has experience working in the International Crime Court (ICC).

In preparing and conducting cases Sally Penni has a reputation for being thorough, with a particular eye for detail. She enjoys a reputation for researching her cases until she knows them 'inside out'.

Sally Penni has plenty of experience as a Criminal Barrister working with young offenders and vulnerable witnesses with mental health issues. She also enjoys taking instructions in cyber security crime. She is an Author and Contributor on the Cyber Security Law and Guidance book published by Bloomsbury.

Sally Penni has practiced Employment Law since being called to the Bar in 2000 She joined Kenworthy's Chambers Employment Team in 2004.

Sally Penni works on Employment Law cases involving disability, sex, and race discrimination. She also gives advice on whistleblowing cases and representation at professional disciplinary hearings and grievances.

Her experience as an Independent School Governor and Non-executive Director makes her Employment Law practice especially unique.

Employment Barrister Sally Penni representation at Employment Tribunal (ET) and Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) hearings and can draft legal documents such as Contracts of Employment and Compromise Agreements.
