Kenworthy’s Chambers Takes on New Pupil Olivia Davin

Kenworthy’s Chambers is pleased to announce new pupil Olivia Davin, joined chambers in January 2025.
Olivia will be undertaking a mixed practice of Crime and Family Law.
We caught up with the former criminal and family court Marshal to find out why she wants to become a Barrister.
Welcome to Kenworthy’s Chambers Olivia! What does it mean for you to have been chosen for pupillage here in the heart of Manchester’s legal district, on Albert Square?
I am thrilled to start my journey with Kenworthy’s and the exciting challenges that lie ahead of me during pupillage with Chambers.
I know that I am going to be guided by expert advocates and given a range of case work to build knowledge in.
This will provide me with an exceptional skill set to use during practice, as I start to develop my career as a Barrister.
What made you want to join Kenworthy’s Chambers?
Kenworthy’s particular expertise in dealing with vulnerable clients, as well as their commitment to pro-bono work, is incredibly important to me.
I am looking forward to learning from Kenworthy’s Barristers in these areas and undertaking this work myself.
What are you hoping to learn from your Pupillage Supervisor Sarah Cook?
Kenworthy’s Barristers are known for their exceptional advocacy. So, I am eager to adopt these skills and to learn how to excel in the courtroom.
Additionally, I am looking forward to learning how best to manage vulnerable clients, as well as how to advantageously organise a busy caseload!
Thanks to Olivia Davin for answering our questions ahead of her pupillage start date!
Kenworthy’s Chambers is proud to be taking on some of the top talent in the legal industry right now. We are currently training two more Pupil Barristers in Zahra Khan and Jack Dingley.
