Kenworthy’s Chambers Move to Victoria Buildings

Kenworthy's Chambers | November 15, 2024

We are pleased to announce that Kenworthy’s Chambers are moving to Victoria Buildings from 18/11/2024.

It is a modern office space housed in a beautiful Victorian building, offering a traditional Barristers setting with cutting-edge connectivity.

For those wishing to visit us in person, we can be found at our new address on the 3rd Floor of Victoria Buildings, Albert Square, 1-7 Princess Street, Manchester, M2 4DF.

We can still be contacted at the same email addresses and 0161 832 4036. We will still be providing legal advice and advocacy in the following Practice Areas:

The Management Committee viewed the decision to move as necessary due to the digital revolution at the bar and less physical space required for Barristers in chambers. Despite several Senior Criminal Barristers joining Kenworthy’s Chambers and our numbers being bolstered with a steady stream of pupils becoming fully qualified and awarded tenancies, there is less need for physical space thanks to remote working practices becoming commonplace.

We hope that by moving from Arlington House to Victoria Buildings we can better achieve our mission as a business. To recruit, develop and retain our talented and diverse team that is dedicated to delivering personalised services and excellence in clerking, advice and advocacy for all our clients.

At Kenworthy’s, we are all excited about the move because it should aid us in growing. Our vision is to become a dynamic and innovative chambers continually growing nationally with a relentless focus on talent and reputation, to ensure income growth and expansion while still maintaining our diverse culture. What better place to do this than in the heart of Manchester, close to all the key courts our Barristers frequent, and what better time to move than now, as there is a good time to settle in before the £429 million restoration of the neighbouring Town Hall is scheduled to complete in 2026.

Talking about Kenworthy’s Chambers’ move Practice Manager Maria Rushworth said: “We are very excited to be moving into Victoria Buildings because it is an impressive, easy-to-access place for clients who require quality legal services.

“Thank you to Obi for sourcing this accommodation which we believe will provide an excellent workspace for our staff and Barristers.

“I am sure all our clients and staff will be pleased to discover that Victoria Buildings is very well connected by public transport with nearby bus, tram, and train stops.”
