Practice Manager Maria Rushworth Celebrates 25 Years of Service
Kenworthy’s Chambers celebrated Maria Rushworth’s 25th work anniversary by presenting her with a cake, card, and jumbo cheque.
The Practice Manager now joins a small club of hard-working individuals who have accrued 25 years of service at Kenworthy’s Chambers, including Chambers Administrator Sue Barlow, who recently celebrated her 25th work anniversary.
Maria Rushworth joined Kenworthy’s Chambers from Barclays Bank at the same time as Sue Barlow, which is marked on our About Us page under ‘Chambers History’ as a key appointment that elevated the level of our clerking team.
Now Maria is valued for her leading role in overseeing the operations and management of chambers. Marketing Manager Bruce Cousins commended Maria Rushworth on her deep knowledge of Kenworthy’s member Barristers and their specialist areas of law, stating, “Maria always knows the best candidate to call upon for niche legal queries whenever they arise.”
Additionally, as Practice Manager, an important part of Maria’s role is to help Kenworthy’s retain the Legal Services Commission’s Quality Mark for the Bar and preserve our reputation as champions of diversity at the Bar.
Speaking about her service to Kenworthy’s, Chambers Administrator Sue Barlow said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with you for the entire 25 years, and it’s been amazing! Thanks for your help, guidance, support, and friendship.”
Senior Criminal Clerk Paul Mander called for the celebrations to roll on! He said, “Congratulations on reaching 25 years of service. It’s been a pleasure to work with you.” Meanwhile, Greg Highton, his Criminal Clerk colleague, quipped, “Congratulations on 25 years, Maria, almost as long as the Loughborough case!”
Lastly, Immigration and Family Clerk Daniella Howarth joked, saying, “25 years is such an achievement, it is a life sentence!” Before getting serious, adding, “Maria is such a great person to work with, so funny, and always cracking jokes, telling us comical stories from past days. She is always there when you need her, and the support she provides is truly amazing.”
On behalf of everyone at Kenworthy’s Chambers, we wish Maria a heartfelt congratulations! Everyone here is grateful for Maria Rushworth’s 25 years of service and wishes her good health and happiness! Thank you, Maria.
