‘Part 36 and The Costs of Costs’
Leading on from Head of Civil & Costs at Kenworthy's Chambers, Margaret McDonald's, Lecture at the Association of Costs Lawyers' Conference [See Lecture Here] on the case of Best v. Luton the ACL referred the case to the Civil Procedure Rule Committee (CPRC) to consider whether part 36 offers can be made in relation to the costs detailed assessment.
The newly published minutes of the CPRC's April meeting showed that the CPRC's lacuna subcommittee has referred Master Leonard's ruling earlier this year in Best v Luton to the costs subcommittee for consideration.
