Margaret McDonald Publishes Chapter in Facts & Figures 2021/22

Margaret McDonald | October 21, 2021
Kenworthy’s Chambers’ Head of Civil Litigation Margaret McDonald has published a chapter in Personal Injury law book ‘Facts & Figures 2021/22’.

The Head of Civil Litigation at Kenworthy's Chambers, Margaret McDonald has contributed a chapter to the Personal Injury book: Facts & Figures 2021/22.

Facts and Figures, now in its 26th edition, provides Barristers, Insurers, and Solicitors with tables to aid the calculation of damages, making the process quicker easier, and crucially more accurate.

Margaret, a highly experienced Costs Mediator, renowned for her prowess in fact-heavy costs cases, has written the chapter on costs. She has written the costs chapter of Facts & Figures every year since 2012.

The book is designed to simplify calculations for special damages in complex Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases. We recommended Barristers get this edition as it contains the most up-to-date life expectancy data from the Office of National Statistics, current hospital and NHS charges and the latest interest rates, tax rates, care rates and average earnings data. With help from the latest version of Facts & Figures, you will be able to calculate claims for gratuitous care, hospital cost, motoring costs, and more. Multipliers for future losses for life, to retirement age, from retirement age, for limited periods, or at specified, unspecified or periodic dates in the future are all made easier with a copy of the book.

Speaking about her contribution to Facts & Figures, Margaret McDonald said: "The costs chapter includes the new SCCO Guideline rates which were officially confirmed on 1 September 2021."

Margaret McDonald is The Head of Civil Litigation and Costs at Kenworthy's Chambers. She is a Deputy District Judge and a Mediator, specialising in costs mediations. Margaret will be speaking at the Association of Costs Lawyers Conference on 25 November 2021.

Facts & Figures 2021/22 is available as a fully searchable e-book for the first time ever on Thompson Reuters Proview platform and you can purchase a paperback copy from Sweet and Maxwell.
