Kenworthy's Chambers | August 7, 2024
If you are an established practitioner, or Solicitor Advocates looking to transfer to the Bar, and can support the efforts of our Barristers get in touch!

Kenworthy’s Chambers are getting ready to expand!

We are looking for established practitioners, or Solicitor Advocates wanting to transfer to the Bar, with experience in either Crime, Family and Finance, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, Costs, Employment Law, Immigration Law, Administrative and Public Law, Inquests, Regulatory and Professional Discipline, and Business and Property.

Kenworthy’s Chambers is renowned for being a diverse, progressive set of chambers and we welcome people from all backgrounds to apply for tenancy.

We recognise that recruitment is key to our continued success and pride ourselves on supporting Barristers’ career development and providing a great work environment. We are Manchester’s leading chambers on diversity, with 20% of our Barristers identifying as black, Asian, or mixed race.

We are celebrated by The Legal 500 in eight separate practice areas and recognised by Chambers and Partners across five of our teams.

To help our established Criminal Law team we have grown the organisation with several key recruits over the last twelve months. Our most recent recruits include David Lamb KC, Kay Driver, and Tara Riley

When he began his new role as a Door Tenant at Kenworthy’s Chambers, David Lamb (KC) said, “The prospect of working with some of Kenworthy’s top Barristers as Lead Counsel in future cases is enticing. It is great to be joining such a diverse, progressive, and forward-thinking Chambers."

Upon joining Kay Driver said, “I am most fortunate to be joining such a highly respected set, so it is with excitement that I look forward to starting, working closely with the highly praised Criminal Clerks, and using my advocacy skills to help contribute.”

Kenworthy’s Chambers are looking to continue growth with additional recruitment in all practice areas of law.

Do you have what it takes to join our widely celebrated, expanding team of member Barristers?

Applications should be addressed to our Practice Manager Maria Rushworth and can be sent via email to [email protected]

Please include a cover letter, CV, and details of two referees. All applications/enquiries will be treated confidentially.
