Fatal Accident and Dependency Claims Seminar
The next seminar in our popular series of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence presentations by Barrister Haroon Rashid is: ‘Fatal Accident and Dependency Claims’.
‘Fatal Accident and Dependency Claims’ is an online seminar that will take place on 25/10/22 from 4pm - 5pm. Please book your place by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.
This seminar is aimed at Personal Injury Lawyers who handle fatal accidents and dependency claims. As usual, there will be an opportunity to ask Haroon questions at the end of the presentation.
The ‘Fatal Accident and Dependency Claims’ seminar will explain how there is a very limited number of people who can claim bereavement damages.
Haroon will also talk you through the whole range of potential eligible dependents that there can be, and you will learn the three ‘heads of loss’ under the Fatal Accidents Act 1976.
The multiplier that needs to be applied to a loss of financial dependency will be explained within the context of the case of Knauer v Ministry of Justice, as will the rationale for calculating financial dependency on income.
If you handle fatal accident claims and this seminar is of interest to you please sign up using the form at the bottom of the page. The last day for registration is Monday 24th October and invites to this virtual seminar will be sent via email on Tuesday 25th October.
