- R v R at Woolwich Crown Court (2024) – This case involved Section 18 (grievous bodily harm) and misconduct in a public office. The defendant was a Prison Officer. The defendant and five others were alleged to have caused permanent brain damage to a prisoner in their care, failing their duties as Prison Officers. Following an eight-week-long trial the defendant was one of only two defendants to be acquitted of all counts.
- R v R at Woolwich Crown Court (2024) – Multi-handed rape. The defendant, alongside two other defendants, was alleged to have lured the complainant into a car and taken them back to a flat where they were sexually assaulted and raped. Following a trial and re-trial the defendant was acquitted of all counts.
- R v H at Warwick Crown Court (2023) - Defendant was part of a group that set out with weapons in a car to run down a victim and his group in revenge for a drug debt and a previous assault that took place that evening in this multi-handed revenge murder case, reported on by the BBC. Soraya’s client was acquitted of murder and attempted murder. A sentence of manslaughter and s20/s47 was secured.
- R v M at Birmingham Crown Court – Allegations of historical sexual abuse of two complainants.
- R v O at Snaresbrook Crown Court – Encrochat drugs case.
- R v A – Kidnap, rape, and murder case reported in The Independent.
- R v Q and others at Birmingham Crown Court – Prison riot at HMP Birmingham in which stolen keys were used to free around 500 prisoners from cells. This case was described in a BBC article as the worst prison disorder for 26 years.
- R v D and others at Central Criminal Court – Murder of a London-based model. Case reported by the BBC.
- R v C and another at Central Criminal Court – Murder of a mother who suffered from Huntington’s disease , reported on by the BBC.
- R v Joseph and others at Harrow Crown Court – Multi-handed conspiracy to kidnap and cause GBH.
- R v Brownlee and others at St Alban’s Crown Court – Leading counsel in multi-handed conspiracy to cause GBH.
